Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using any part of the Family Time Centers (“FTC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) websites, telehealth platform, mobile applications, or affiliated services (collectively, the “Services”), you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, you must discontinue use immediately.
2. Scope of Services
We offer licensed mental health services through:
Licensed Professionals (Psychologists, LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and Psychiatrists) operating under active licenses in California.
Associates & Supervised Trainees – Pre-licensed clinicians (AMFT, ASW, APCC) and students under direct supervision by licensed providers as per California law.
By engaging with our Services, you consent to receive care from licensed clinicians or supervised associates/trainees as clinically appropriate. You may request to work only with licensed clinicians, and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate.
3. Not a Substitute for
Emergency Care
Our Services are not intended for use in emergencies. If you are in crisis, call 911, dial 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), or visit your nearest emergency room.
4. User Accounts &
Responsibilities
As of the effective date of these Terms, Family Time Centers does not require user accounts to access basic Services. However, we may introduce user accounts in the future to facilitate appointment scheduling, communication, or personalized service features.
If and when accounts become available, you will be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Additional terms may apply at that time, which will be clearly communicated.
5. Fees, Billing, and
Insurance
You agree to pay all applicable fees:
Self-pay clients: Payment is due at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.
Insurance clients: You authorize us to submit claims and receive payments directly. You are responsible for co-pays, deductibles, and amounts not covered by insurance.
Late or failed payments may result in suspension or termination of services.
6. Cancellations
and No-Shows
We require at least 24 hours' notice for appointment cancellations. Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged the full session fee and are not billable to insurance.
7. Permitted Use and
Intellectual Property
You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes. All website content, branding, media, and code are owned by Family Time Centers and may not be copied or redistributed without prior consent.
8. Telehealth Services
By participating in virtual care, you consent to receive treatment via HIPAA-compliant video or phone sessions. You understand the inherent risks and limitations of telehealth and may withdraw consent at any time.
We use third-party vendors to deliver essential service infrastructure, including but not limited to:
Airtable for secure clinical coordination, documentation workflows, and scheduling support.
Tebra (formerly Kareo + PatientPop) for billing, calendar management, and electronic communications.
Stripe, Twilio, and Google Calendar for payments, video conferencing, and scheduling integrations.
We are not responsible for the terms, privacy practices, service quality, or limitations of third-party providers. Your use of our Services constitutes your acknowledgment and acceptance of these integrations.
10. Disclaimer of
Warranties
Our Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee outcomes or specific results from therapy.
11. Limitation of
Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Family Time Centers shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our Services.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Family Time Centers and its affiliates from any claims, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by California law. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Los Angeles County, California, pursuant to the rules of JAMS. Class actions are not permitted.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
